About the Council
Appointed by the President of the University as a result of the Campus Climate Survey recommendations, the President's Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council works proactively to create an equitable path ensuring student success is obtainable and accessible for all.
Mission
The Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council (DIAC) champions actions that transform the University into a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and socially just learning community.

2022-2023 Campus Inclusion Student Survey
The Campus Inclusion Survey (student version) at ISU was designed to measure the extent to which ISU is perceived as a campus community that values and supports inclusion, belonging, and access for all students.

Resources
In its advisory capacity to the Office of the President, DIAC provides a knowledge base of information on DEI initiatives, efforts, and challenges across campus. The Council explores best practices to offer guidance and explore direction and solutions.
Members
Former President Dietz (2014-2021) appointed each member of the Council to represent the rich diversity of identities and constituency groups across campus. Membership is drawn from representatives of Interdisciplinary Studies, Faculty/Staff Affinity Groups, and Student Government.
Evolution of DIAC
The President's Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council had its beginnings in suggestions from the last iteration of the Campus Climate Task Force. See the suggestions of the Task Force and the work of the Implementation Team that lay the foundation for DIAC.
